I see that have been shown many ways to practice their English here,
but as the practice is never enough, here's another way you study.
Some articles are easy to understand and you can combine it with topics that are useful to undergraduate or work of yours.
That way you practice English acquiring scientific knowledge.
The Internet provides own versions in English and Portuguese.

Mix it well!

I learn a lot mix the phrases, for example, try talk with my brother mixing portuguese with english and the words that i don't know, i search translation to next mix! hahahaha
A way funny and nice of learn english is talk with others peoples. I indicate www.omegle.com, a chat with strangers that only say english. You learn slangs, abbreviations, etc.

Hello friends!!

Next  months I''ll go to São Paulo for show of U2, my favorite band. I count the minutes for this day. I like the musics and in the moment I study the letters of music, because I need sing whit U2 and understand the musics. I thing is very dificult, becouse they sings are very fast. But I don't quit because I love.

Advocating the Google Translator

Many people say the Google Translator is useless, because of his incoherent translation of texts. Indeed, the longer the sentence, the bigger the mistakes, so it's not recommended to translate texts, even phrases on Google Translator, unless you know what you're doing. On the other hand, words are well translated using it, which also gives you synonyms. Therefore, Google Translator has his utility: a useful and quick translator.

Classmates, I couldn't go to the class on March 25th. Could any of you post the homework and tell me what happened? I'd be very grateful.

INTERNET HELP!!!

Watch and listen to videos on the internet is very good for learning English.
Try to just listen without translating to accustom their ears to the sounds of words. That really helps in the pronunciation.

The best type of exercise

Writing paragraphs/texts. Yes, writing increases the vocabulary, the grammar and, consequently, the way we make the phrases connect themselves. Speaking, talking in english is very helpful too, but if we want to do that, first we need to know how, and writing texts provides a great part of it.

I have some difficulty learning English, but I can learn relatively quickly.
Difficulties we all have, of course! But we must understand that we are not born in acountry fluent in English but in Portuguese, so: Let Friend FIGHT! haha

Hello everybody

Do you survive this carnival?

This is my second post here, I am not believe, but today woke with good will for learn English.
I like read and usually I like of the best sellers, so to join the useful with enjoyable I buy tho book Eat, Pray, Love.  The book was cheap R$ 17,00 in the Saraiva of the Salvador Shopping.

I didn't like of the movie, but the book, the read is other vibe. I want start read, but I have full of things of the university.
I watch many series to help me in listen, is very difficult for me this part, in spite of watch every day I don't see improvement, I think that the character speak very fast e I don't achieve follow.
The series that I very like are The big bang Theory and The new adventures of old Christine, but I too watch Two and a half man, Glee e The Middle, all are comedy.

How was your carnival? Like a lot?
I like the English language, I think it's a very good language for any professional career.
I can soon understand many phrases in English, but I have difficulty in formulating my own phrases.
I guess it all depends on practice and I hope it´s will come with time.
Anyway, one way to train the listening is to watch movies without subtitles and trying to identify the sentences.
Preferably, films that do not use slang.

Hi Guys!!!

How was the carnival? My carnival was wonderful. =)

My big difficulty in english is speak and listen. I have facility with the grammar, but it is difficult to organize the rules and words to speak. I like to study writing, help memorization of translation of the words. I study one or two times a week doing the exercises pass in the classroom the student book and workbook. 

In class we are reviewing the tenses present, past and future. We are doing activities in group and dynamic.
